Anna hazare broke the fast atlast
- After thirteen days of long fast, Anna Hazare broke his fast with coconut water and honey. he said"This is the victory of the people of India. All the efforts that you have put in in the last 13 days, have born fruit. I would like to thank the media for helping this victory happen. I thank those who continously cared for my health. I want to thank the members of the civil society".Thousands of supporters were waiting for the Hazare to break his fast. Hazare first of all helped followers to break their fast and at last he ended. 72 years old Anna Hazare took few sips of juice after breaking the fast. Hazare began the fast in Tuesday morning, congratulated people for victory because Prime Minister Manmohan singh promised for the Lokpal Bill, which will strongly help the common people against corruption. This bill would be introduced this July, in the monsoon session of the parliament. He even thanked the Delhi police, those who made food for the protestors at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan. | sagarika basu, howrah, west bengal, 28-AUG-11

Hard work behind the screen
- This is an exclusive online paper with very good quantum of coverage. Thanks to all who are giving their best for "theScape". But I feel cultural reporting is not adequate to meet our thirst. You are doing great work. | Debabrata Nag, Dankuni, 19-AUG-11

partisan by choice?
- Dear Scape, I am an avid follower of your e-paper. I commend your efforts and exuberance in the pursuance of the insatiable quest of mankind. As much as I laud you, I have a cavil against you bordering on criticism. Some of your news and features reek of party colors. The reporting borders on partisanship at times where the red hue seems predominant over logic & judiciousness. My trifle knowledge tells me that journalism should be unbiased where the correspondent's personal idiosyncrasies, ideals, 'ism's, theories should never interfere, or am I mistaken? If this be true, why does such a fantastic paper as Scape be otherwise? We look forward to a more neutral, unprejudiced reporting from your team. Restore the faith in the fourth estate. Thank you. | Dr. P. K. Sen, Galsi, Burdwan, 17-MAY-11

Amit Mitra and Neoliberalization
- A very good research but please do add the detail speech what FICCI secretary delivered at New York University on 24th May, 2006. It significantly carries the particular essence of his genius! | Smita Gupta, Kolkata, 17-APR-11

Manifesto
- Dear Nirjhar Mitra, thanks for reading The Scape; coming to your confusion let me clarify you that the editorial team has found nothing special 'Newsworthy' policy announcement in that manifesto except some wild criticism against the ruling party. If even you consider a balancing methodology, it must be supplemented by newsworthy policy announcements. It was more on paribartan than certain assurance of newer policies. We have mentioned whatever has been announced; but helpless if somewhere vision lacks. Balancing with no such substantial issue leads your The Scape to a commercial marketed commodity. I hope you won' accept that. We need your comment more on various issues. Keep reading. | Scape Editorial Team, Kolkata, India, 23-MAR-11

A lot of Thanks and few Confusions
- Dear Sir. I am a regular reader of your newspaper. You are doing great work. But sometimes I feel a bit confused about your editorial viewpoint. You published the news of election manifesto by CPIM in Lead News section on 16th March. While the same day you published a news on Japan's Nuclear crisis in International. Actually your lead news section is too prominent for small news like the publishing of election manifesto. I am happy that you did not do the same thing with the news of TMC's election manifesto. But there rises the question. If CPIM can be on the lead news, why not TMC with an equal news? There are other similar points too. I can see that the TMC's news contains a criticism of the railway minister in the last para (not the main opposition of the state). While the CPIM's news did not have any criticism. However, it is not visible on the website now. I am writing it on the basis of what I remember of the news. Another thing a friend of mine registered (who has very little knowledge and interest in the politics of West Bengal). He said that the lead news section shows a number of news opposing TMC and Mamata. sometimes the headlines seem to be forcibly made anti TMC. My request is that please do not let us make an assumption of your possible biasness towards CPIM in this time of Election in WB. Although, I am a voter registered in UP I am still conscious about the political situation of WB. All this struck me first when I saw the news of CPIM rally in the lead news section. | Nirjhar Mitra, NOIDA, 22-MAR-11
