Journalism is it?

That’s what we wondered while discussing what should a newly ‘going to be launched’ news portal consist of?
News, views, entertaining articles? What else?

The ongoing media monoliths, the political blame game, killing the spirit in the name of Jihad, shaking the nation, is making the news in media. News, views
The need there is, for a platform to delve into the socio-interactive space, a new platform where news can well be defined.

We are trying to be different. No, we aren’t claiming ourselves as the ‘star kid’. We aren’t trying to take a side. What we are trying is to make clear cut journalism, as per our ability.
We will try to portray the events that spur in and around the city, proximity in journalism says so. A bunch of professional journalists in the making, will take an honest effort to promote what they think is journalistically accurate.

Being a new kid on the block, our acumen, our viewpoint will sharply be looked at. Yes, the readers have complete freedom to express themselves. We’ll be obliged.
Here it would be necessary to clear our stand. We’ll not try to be apolitical. We are not mere consumers. We research news and information. We’ll write what we think is best suited for common people. We promise to. We will.
The portal arranged under the aegis of The Department of Journalism & Mass Communication at Seth Anandram Jaipuria College, Kolkata will try to bring out what is called unbiased journalism.
